Mahmudul Raz Islam

(Writer - Director - Executive Producer)


With his epic style and creative flair, Raz brings dedication and high professional quality to all of his projects. Raz’ talents lie in directing and special effects and he loves seeing his creative vision become reality. On completion of his Bachelor Degree in Film and Video, and Photomedia, Raz has gained unprecedented knowledge of the technical side of editing/ FX and its related software, which gives him an edge in this advancing industry. Raz has had Western Australian Screen Awards nominations in both 2006 and 2007 for Special effects and animation and in 2008 won the Western Australian Screen Award for Visual Effects.

Jacki Collis

(Executive Producer - Producer)


With a flair for the written word and an eye for excellence, Jacki enjoys turning an ordinary story into an exciting piece of literature. Gaining a Bachelor Degree in Film and Video, and Photomedia, Jacki is a talented writer/ producer. With her photographic background Jacki can see a production visually in her minds eye and make each aspect of the script appear vibrantly on the page ready to be handed on for production.

Amy Costello

(Co-writer)


Amy graduated from Edith Cowan University with a Bachelor of Communications in Film and Video, and Writing. During this time she wrote the short film Knickers, which was short-listed for Tropfest and screened nationally in the Best of the Rest Festival. She then completed a Masters of Professional Communications with the WA Screen Academy during which she wrote the short film Oral Fixation and was nominated for a WA Screen Award in Scriptwriting. Amy currently teaches in scriptwriting and other communications units at Edith Cowan University and the WA Screen Academy. She is designing a television series based on her short film Commodity Fetishism.

Tina McKimmie

(Producer)


Tina has recently returned to her hometown, Perth, after living in England for many years. While overseas, she completed a Bachelor's Degree in Television Production/Contemporary Film and Video and produced and directed several short films. She won the joint award for Best Experimental Film at the Exposures Film Festival in 2003 and was awarded a travel fellowship to make a short documentary in Argentina. Tina produced the WAAPA film, ‘Iris’, and has found writing and producing at the WA Screen Academy a rewarding and enriching experience. She hopes to work in the local industry as a Researcher or Production Coordinator.

Sarah Clarke

(Camera Assistant - Assistant Editor)


Prior to the Screen Academy Sarah completed her Advanced Diploma in Screen at TAFE where she edited many projects, most notably the TVC 'Play' which won the ‘Make your Make’ competition commissioned by the WA Office of Road Safety and aired on Channel 10. Joining the Screen Academy as an editor, Sarah has formed part of the crew on numerous projects, most noticeably editor for the WAAPA Films 'Background Noise', and 'Pips First Time', as well as the documentary 'Community Gardens'.  Throughout the year, her contribution as an extremely hard working crewmember has not gone unnoticed. Her future aspirations are to continue working with the best in the industry and delivering a high quality work standard.

Reuben Johnson

(Sound)


Sound and Vision. Or just sound. As long as there’s sound involved, Reuben wants in. He tried his hand at directing with mixed results, so decided he’d stick to what he knows, which is everything sound. He got his bachelor's degree in Film/Video and Creative Technologies at the end of 2008 and looks forward to making a name for himself as a guru of noises and music.

Sonja Reynen

(Production Design)


Sonja has completed a Bachelor of Communications in Screen Studies and an Advanced Diploma in Screen specializing in both Production Design and Cinematography, giving her an edge when it comes to creating a unique look for the projects she works on. She works for a number of local television productions and has been nominated for a number of awards nationally for Television, Short film and Documentary projects that have generated a lot of buzz.

Ben Mizzi

(Visual Effects Supervisor)


Ben has always had a strong passion for film, and is keen in all areas of its creation. He has taken Robert Rodriguez’ advice in that creative people should get technical and has gotten into learning the ins and outs of Visual Effects. He figures if someone, someday is going to give him a whole bunch of money to make a film, he better know what he’s doing. He is also currently writing his own film “Till Death Do Us Meet” and one day hopes to direct it.
